Well it’s that time again.. We have another amazing bridal blog. The beautiful Gemma Hynes shopped at Azure before her wedding and kindly agreed to feature in this months Bridal Bible ❤ Her and her new hubby planned a foreign wedding and got married in sunny Spain (I know we are so jealous too !!)
Gemma has answered all our questions and given us the best advise for all you brides to be.. This is a must read, especially if your planning a wedding abroad!
Where did you buy your dress and how long before the wedding?
I bought my dress in Vintage Pearl Bridal in Galway 11 months before the wedding. It was a Katya Katya London dress and I absolutely adored wearing it. Olga in Vintage Pearl was just the dream to deal with. Each visit to her was just so special.
Who did your hair and make up?
Liza Mayne did both my hair and make up. She was amazing to have around on the morning of the wedding and really put me at ease. I was so happy with both my hair and make up on the day.
Where did you buy your accessories?
I bought the beautiful crown for my hair from Azure Jewellery. The girls were so helpful and even posted up a few pieces for me to try before making a decision.
Where did you get married and did you look at many venues before deciding on that particular one?
We got married in Marbella in Spain. Our ceremony took place in the church in the old town, Marbella. Our reception took place in Finca Villa Palma, an outdoor villa with beautiful gardens. It is set high in the mountains overlooking the sea.
How many bridesmaid did you have and where did you buy their dresses and accessories?
What did you find the most challenging aspect of organising your wedding?
Brides always mention how difficult it is to find shoes; where did you get yours?
I got my shoes in Vintage Pearl Bridal in Galway! They were Rachel Simpson shoes. They were super comfy and matched my dress perfectly.
Were there any individual touches that you added and that you particularly loved about your day?
My nephew Jacob also took photos with a Polaroid camera during dinner and asked people to stick it into our guestbook and write a little message. I’m so glad we have them to look back on!
What piece of advice would you give to an upcoming bride?
Enjoy the build up as much as you can as it goes by so quickly! Soak up all the love and kindness from people.
